Cost-benefit analysis (CBA) estimates project viability from a socio-economic standpoint, not just through direct financial results. We define “with project / without project” scenarios, time horizon, and discount rate; we project costs (CAPEX, OPEX, maintenance, external costs) and benefits (time savings, emission reduction, safety, productivity, visitation…).
In parallel, we create a financial analysis (cash flows, sustainability, need for support), and conduct sensitivity and risk analysis. The conclusion is provided through key indicators ENPV, EIRR, and B/C ratio (benefit-cost ratio).
The written study represents a comprehensive document that serves for applying infrastructure and socially beneficial projects to tenders, and for making decisions on launching often large, financially substantial projects.
